About this image resizer
Fit an image into the dimensions you need for a website, email, or creative project. Enter a maximum width and height, or start with a Web, Social, or Email preset. The image keeps its original proportions and is never stretched or enlarged. You can check the output dimensions and preview before downloading. Processing takes place locally in a browser worker rather than uploading your image to a remote service.
How it works
The scale is the smaller of maximum width / original width, maximum height / original height, and 1. Both dimensions are multiplied by that scale and rounded to whole pixels. The output fits inside the requested box.
Try these examples
2,000 × 1,000 into a 1,080 × 1,080 box
1,080 × 540 pixels
640 × 480 into a 1,920 × 1,920 box
640 × 480 pixels; no enlargement
Limitations & privacy
This is fit-within resizing, not cropping or an exact social-platform template. One image up to 20 MB and 12 million pixels. Maximum output side 4,096 pixels. Re-encoding can remove metadata and animation. JPG flattens transparency to white.
Inputs and results stay in this browser. Only tool identifiers are stored for your recently used tools. You can clear that history from the directory.
A few good questions
Will it crop my photo?
No. The entire image fits within the chosen box.
Can I make a small photo bigger?
This tool does not upscale. Small inputs keep their original dimensions.
What do the presets mean?
They are convenient maximum-size boxes, not guarantees of current platform upload requirements.
